Wedding Expo Crashers

After yesterday, I now know that it would be super awesome to be a professional bridal expo attendant. Kinda like Wedding Crashers, but not. Why? At expos, there’s free food, awesome raffles, good music and dancing … and more.

The “and more” I’m talking about? Yeah, so apparently I met men from Club Risque. It was pretty hilarious. At first I was scared and started sweating! But they were totally cool. We danced and fist-pumped, and I’m totally going there for my bachelorette. (Scrap the paint pottery idea!)

Oh, and I got this bag full of free magazines, and Danielle (my maid of honor) and I got to goof around and take pictures in the photo booths.

The best part of the day was when Danielle made me volunteer to get up on stage and dance. Let me back up a bit. So they had a stage set up for a fashion show and different vendors shared tips, etc. Like, apparently, now I know how to pose so I look good in my wedding pictures!

So anyway, there was an entertainment/music company there. They were awesome. They picked me to come up on stage and dance! Yup, I fist pumped and beat the beat — but I did the twist, meringue and all that too. It was pretty hilarious. Danielle said everyone was going crazy laughing and loving it. I was all into it and living it up!

Now I’m just waiting for some emails to come in saying that I won some free stuff!!

Think BIG! Monthly Adventures and Accomplishments

In a previous blog post — 10 Things to Do in 2010 — I encouraged you to “Set a new goal each month.” The blog said:This year, pick 12 things and stick to them. Your goals may include cleaning the garage; trying new recipes; using coupons whenever shopping or saving extra money for a family vacation. Whatever your goals are, write them down, and stick to it. It may be helpful to do some online research to help you get organized or get started.”

Well, I’m not one to take my own advice. I have goals, but there are way more than one for each month. And, knowing me, I’ll get everything done by April and the list will have to be edited and revamped. So, here is the “guideline” that I’ll follow this year. There are some things at the bottom of the list that I couldn’t add to a particular month … yet.

Please let me know if you want to join me on any of these adventures, or if you have any advice or feedback you want to share. Um, and feel free to support me on these goals!

PS – I put an “x” next to the things that are free! I put a “*” next to the things I’m doing for the first time.

Hi Rocky! When I run the art musuem steps, I will take a picture with you. Thanks.
